Nathan Tarr | Senior Pastor

Nathan and Devon met at Wheaton College, were married on Lake Tahoe, and moved to Knoxville in 2005 to help plant Christ Church Knoxville. The Lord has blessed them with five children: Kendra, Carson, Bryan, Brielle, and Gavin. Nathan is completing his PhD in Biblical Spirituality from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, and Devon is working toward her Masters in Biblical Counseling from Southern as well. Nathan desires to study, preach, and teach in such a way that the church increases in their knowledge of God, deepens in their love for Christ, and walks increasingly dependent on the Holy Spirit. Devon is passionate about raising her family, counseling the Word, and redeeming the dance of the nations. As a family, the Tarrs enjoy reading, hiking, and traveling.
